generally...the proc temp shoots up when u enter the BIOS

not a case of concern....normal range should be arnd...40-65 degrees

i think wat everest is showin is the mobo temp...pls check it again

for checkin temp i use speedfan

ya really while entering bios the temp shoots up nd will not reduce if idle in bios. Check this by frequent restarts nd entering nd restart again. The cpu will reach its max temp.

Yes in case of an A64 with C&Q enabled, becasuse while in Bios, the processor will be running at max speed. Other cases, I dont know!

yes......usually XP with system idle process...optimeses the temps....but the difference is just be 'bout 8 degs, (max)....
My observations procey....BIOS 47-48.....XP....42-43 degs...........

But in u r system a diff. 10-15degs+ sounds riskey!

Also try mobo. monitor...more detailed....even gives option to set an Alarm temperature......

hi
Neither ur everest 2006 temp is showing real nor the bios temp,
37 degrees is ur mobo temp...cant be any processors temp.(esp.2.5ghz)

I also had same probe, my bios temp showed 64degrees which shocked me & my dealer made me know the whole thing as he is just a frnd of mine, so cool down...

I guess ur processor temp @ idle must be 40-45 degrees.

no its above normal......most probably the HSF is not properly mounted.....get it fixed....for the single Prescott 65 degs should be the max at load...
