Default weird problem in pen drive...

Hi guys ,
I have kingston 1 GB pen drive.
From yesterday , I m facing a problem in it. The data dont get deleted from it, it says "permission denied" or file currently in use. The way I deleted files was to remove and plugin the pen drive in quick succession and ctrl+a , shift+delete.
I thought its virus but I scanned all system with updated antivirus and antispyware but nothing found.
Then I tried my friends pen drive in my system , and same problem was there.
Note that this problem is only in pen drive and other drives r working fine.

any idea????

I have XP SP2. Antivirus I use r ZA,Avast, Nod32 , also lavasoft antispyware.

there must be some file/virus..which is being used by the pc...if u dnt mind..try formatting the drive..if u anyway want to delete the data...if even tht dsnt work..see if some programme /virus is trying to acess the pen drive..

Many pendrives have a write-lock to help prevent accidental file deletion. Check if there is any such provision in your pendrive and see if by accident you turned it on.

no , it does not have write-lock, and it does not format , it says quit any utilities before format that migt be using the contents of the pen drive.

Is it possible that the drive is being considered something like a CD drive rather than a removable drive? Does Windows display CD-drive icon or removable drive icon for the pendrive?

hey guys , just now I rescanned my HDD with NOD32 with all options enabled ( means most rigourous test) and it showed some viruses but didnt gave an option to delete them, the only option was to leave them. It said access denied , virus cannot be deleted.
what to do now????
