help needed for system sound

hello experts i'm having problem with my system sounds.i can play all video or audio but not hearing any system sounds.i have avrack system i have checked all the settings also tried with troubleshoot but at the end it say check ur BIOS.if my bios r not rightly configured then how can i play audio or video files.also i cant hear yahoo chat room voices which any one can listen in rooms.always a msg displayed that ur sound system doesnt support audio compression while my other pc have the same software and i can listen all there.with system sounds i mean to say when we clik or start computer and hear.pls help me pls pls

try reinstalling ur sound drivers...
& do specify ur sound card, or whether its onboard, or u talking about only sys sounds like that beeps.....

i have reinstalled sound system but its still having problem.yes was mean to say those beeps hear on click
