I recently formatted my disc(first time) but now when i insert the bootable cd of XP it is not detected. Also the cd rom drive does not showup as either IDE master or slave in the bios. I was able to run any other cd previously so i know that the cd drive is all right. So basically I am not able to boot through any bootable CD and i m stuck with a formatted disc. Any help in this matter would be welcome. Thnx Last edited by yparwani; 20-08-2006 at 07:33 PM. |

Most probably, it is a jumper problem. Check if the jumper settings on the CD drive is fine. It should not clash with the settings of the hard disk.
