Question help me.....x2 4200+ or conroe e6300

i am going in for a dual core .the different specs are:

x2 4200+
asus nforce am2 socket
xfx geforce 7300gt
1.5 gb ddr2 533mhz hynix
160gb sata seagate

the other config is
conroe(core 2 duo) e6300 1.86ghz
asus nforce chipset mobo

rest is same.since there is a little difference between the two,i wanted to know which is better?

and could anyone advise me on ram.ddr2 800mhz is not in india.can i install lesser ram (ddr2533) now and go for 800mhz ddr2 later?will the two work in sync?

The conroe is much better and comsumes less power. so good for over-clocking.with such a good gaming rig why are you opting for a 7300gt. I suggest you to for a minimum 7600gt or a 7900gt.

right now? i would go with the stable and reliable x2 939 module du to the fact that its been around for a while and all the bugs are worked out of it and there are mobos available which do not cost 10000 big ones

If you are getting for gaming, get a good graphic card, else even a X6800 is crap.
Get atleast 7600GT or 7900GT.

After that, if you can a good overclocking motherboard for Core 2 Duo, get it else get X2 3800 + Asus A8N E(939)

You may need to only use 2 modules with AMD systems, else problems

Even at stock get the E6300.

Get 2 X 1GB Corsair Value Select(d9 chips) in the VFM segment, should be around 12k or so.
