it sed to work properly, but now a daz , my os cant detect it. Even Bios fails to detect it. I reconnected its cable (both power cable & data cable) but the problem is not solved, i guess its hardware problem.... its all on you guys.i need ur help.

Did you try changing the cable? maybe the cable is faulty. The similar thing happened to me. Ma floppy drive always said "please enter a disk" (kinda similar) I bought a new floppy drive but the problem still persisted, then when I completly overhauled ma rig but the problem still persisted. It was the faulty cable.

its not fault with cables, as the other cdRW drive works perfectly with the same cable, even interchanged their cables....

ya the probe is solved, it was the fault with my DVD combo i tested it on other device & got it....thnx for ur help.
