Exclamation Master and Slave in harmony.... HOW ?

Help me !!!

I have a perfect machine... with 80 GB HD (at 7200 rpm... UDMA5) it's quite good.

************************************************** ********

Now... recently i got another hard disk, which is old (that's why i got it...for free), it's atleast 5 or 6 years old... Quantum Fireball 20 GB (Dma 2)

Now... right now, i have my Primary HD in IDE 1 (Master... where win Xp is installed)

And... in 2nd IDE cable... I have made "20 GB HD" Master and My DVD player Slave.

Is there any better way... to connect, these two HD...without slowing my Pc down ?

I do... see a bit of lagging... while loading the winxp.

HELP !!!

Default Re: Master and Slave in harmony.... HOW ?

well.... i think your current config is fine.. you have free IDE channel for your 80GB hard drive.. so that should be the fastest... the lag shouldnt occur normally... unless you're booting up from the old hard drive????
