Broadband Modem: One USB port to Two USB port

I am using BSNL broadband with ASDL modem . This modem has one USB port, to connect to computer.

It is possible to make this one port into two USb port using some extension so that I can connect this to two computer? Will it work?

You can do this. Connect your internet to one comp. Use a USB cable with a hublink and connect your two computers like a network and then share your connection between the two.

But can I do it directly through modem and not sharing Internet connection between two computer. That means can i use any connector which will connect one USB port to two USB port of different computers simultaneously to use internet connection.

I want to access internet connection independent of other computer and with only one modem and one telephone line of BSNL Broadband

i dont think that is possible as that usb port is a LAN port...
