Default Monitor Problem

Hi all,
I have suddenly changed the position of my computer table and after I switched my computer on, I found the monitor becoming skyish in color. After some time the skyish background went and everything became OK. The same thing happened 2-3 days and after that the monitor color permanently became skyish; and till now it is in this state.

I have Samsung 15" monitor (Samtron 56V) and it is about 3 years old.

Is it the problem of the motherboard (ie video card) or the monitor itself.
Please suggest.

check if the monitor is too near to any magnetic area (electromagnetic field???) etc. I mean, huge speakers, radio equipment or magnets. Sometimes even keeping a cellphone near the monitor changes the color.

Very true! Check the monitor cable!
Sometimes this problem occurs due to a loose cable.

Since it started after moving position, it is more likely that degaussing will solve the problem. But still check the cables.

I also think that it is the display cable responsible for all this. But I have checked the display jack and tightened it repeatedly. But of no good.
I dont know if there is an internal problem of the display cord.
