Unhappy DVD WRITER *SONY* or *HP*


I steped in to hardware shop to buy DVD writer and asked for sony but vendor says HP is better and says here in our city there is no service center for sony and HP has one [and he is true also]
should i buy HP? how is it because i havent heard abt it,,he says HP comes with replacement warrenty

please guys help me out in this regard

Yes .. i'm using HP and i find it really good ... better than Sony atleast ...

And with the HP make sure u get the latest firmware.. .. JPS5 .... it did do some serious improvement .. specially in the read speed ...
