URGENT!!!CD ROM is missing
I can not find my CD ROM drives in My Computer.It was there but now it's gone.
Please help me.
I am having dual Boot,in XP it is not present but but in Win 98 it is well present there and it can also read from CD.
Advertisements. Register and be a member of the community to get rid of them.

Check that CD-ROM is properly fit with wires in mobo also open device manager and click action tab and choose "Scan for hardware changes" this will install lost CD-ROM Drivers.

Well ... something messed up the driver inf file in XP ... maybe something 98 did ... u can try to manually add the CDROM and check ..
Also .. i'd prefer u to get a firmware update for the CDROM .. as it sounds it might be quite old ...
