Most of the hardware u'll get it from Eastern logica in Ganesh ave, and for antec cabinets u'll get at Alfatech at kamalaya centre, Lenin sarani.
Why don't u go for AMD soln? Also u need minmum 512MB ram.U should also think of buying new sata hdd.

Intel Pentium D 2.66 GHz 805 is not so good compaired to latest AMDs. U shd go for somewhat higher Pentium D processor.
If u want to stick with Pentium D, wait for a few weeks bcoz Intel will slash the prices of all of its processors. Otherwise go for AMD AM2 or Intel Conroe; but for Conroe, u'll have to wait a while....

You are buying a gaming comp, right?

All the components are incorrect except maybe the graphic card, you will need to change everything.

Amd 64 3500 Venice : 5700
or amd 64 3000 Venice : 4500
Venice is a highly overclockable chipset and these cpus even at stock will beat both those cpus in gaming.

Asus A8N E : 5500 or so

2 X 1GB DDR 400 Transcend ( UCCC chips, if not available then Hynix D43 chips)

DVD RW Sony, Benq should be ok but I advise Sony, bad expereince with Benq CD RW, a part of it is very sticky and can damage the cd.

A local cabinet PERIOD, your budget is very low so you can't get anything more than something which costs about 1500 tops.
PSU, atleast a Cooler master 430 for 2700
if you plan to oc a lot and all, then get something more power ful like Cooler mater igreen 500 or igreen 600

your graphic card is ok, but seriously do consider Radeon X1800GTO as well. try to extend your budget to accomodate a 7900GT, 17k +

HDD
250 sata II NCQ SEAGATE : 4200
300 : 4800

Hey akshayt,

Does the new AMD CPUs based on the AMD AM2 CPUs have Venice Cores too?
What abt AMD X2 Cores?

thanks. i might go for 945. could u tell me, how much that'd cost.
my budget is kind of flexible, but i'd rather not spend too much now.

do u guys think my configuration could last another year, may two?
i could upgrade then. from what i can see, something new is always coming along. i heard that intel is already working on four core processor. so...
