PC does not starts....beeps+blinks

For past 2-3 days when I press the power for my PC...it does not start...monitor remains on yellow indicator and red indicator on CPU blinks alternatively and a very low beep sounds alternately...I have to switch it off and on atleast 10 times to see monitor showing some activity and then Windows XP loading screen....Any Idea what's the problem...seems a hardware problem to me...but can't figure out what's the actual problem?

Can you tell how exactly does your CPU beep?

For ex: beep beep beep (or) beeeep beep beep.

It beeps like

beep beep beep and red light blinks with each beep. Monitor is on yellow light...switched off condition.

If you are using Award BIOS, that means that your RAM is faulty. Try fitting the RAM tightly in their slot and try again. If the prob still exists, get it checked from your nearest Computerwala.
