Ooppss....that was a 200gig...sorry....

And ASUS rocks......There are minute problems with intel originals.....stay away....
Yes SATA (II) hard disks are very easily available..in the market...
The best place would be at lamington.....don't go to small..dumb shops...go to Prime ABGB or some similar shop......

I know Prime Computers but what is ABGB ?

Also why do you recommend 512 MB 2 stick instead of single 1 GB stick ? any particuler reason behind it ?

Also if you know Asus 945 model mobo number then plz let me know.

Thanks once again for your quick reply....u rock

The shop is named Prime ABGB.....
PRIME ABGB PVT. LTD
Shop no.16, Laxmi Building Compound,
Lamington Road, Mumbai 4
Phone nos. 23855500/ 23896600/ 30961742

The board u r getting supports dual channel.........so if u put 2 512MB sticks...the speed of each of the stick will be doubled...so u will get better performance out of the same amount of memory....

ASUS 945 PL is a good mobo....but i'm not too sure if it is very easily available.........

1) You can't get serious gaming with a 5k graphic card. But maybe something to play the not very intensive games at low - med settings.

2)AFAIK Pentium D930 is for around 10k.

3) Amd 64 3000 Venice : 4500
or 3500 Venice : 5700

Asus A8N E : around 5k - 5.5k, maybe even almost 6k

2 X 512mb ddr 400 transcend (UCCC chips, if not available then Hynix D43 chips) : around 4k

250GB SATA II NCQ SEAGATE for 4200

Or wait for conroe, they will lead to price fall atleat, then may atleast, you might be able to core solo(celeron) in a low budget.

I am not hardcore gamer but still don't want miss to play latest games also. I can compromise with the performance.

So I would like to go for XFX Geforce 7300GS particuler this model if available in Mumbai
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814150128

The 7300GS is available at Prime ABGB at around 3650.00.
I guess this card mostly allow me to play all the latest games ofcourse not with very high frame rates.

I don't want to buy high end graphic card instead I would like to buy 2 GB ram. This would really improve the performance....what do you think ?

Now confused about mobo....I read at many places that Asus mother board gives more trouble installing XP & thier support is also not good. Also I am not planning for over clocking

So how about MSI or Gigabyte 945 mother board ?

Any one can suggest me any particuler model ?

What are you gonna do?

for office applications, 2gb over 1gb shouldnot be a much diff upto office 2003.
for vista : yes
for photoshop multitasking: yes, maybe
for office 2007 : not sure, but 1gb will be ok

Graphic card: don't get a 7300GS, I think it is TC. Consider atleast 7300GT which is around 4400. You will be able to play MOST(not all) current games at low settings at ok-ok or just playable frame rates.
All new games won't run acceptably on this card.
eg: GRAW won't be running ok, i ran it on 800*600 lowest and it was crap on a 6600GT which should be better than 7300GT non GDDR 3
if you can get then get 7300GT GDDR3

if you are a gamer then no point thinking below 7600GT/7900GT that too only for todays games.

2gb ram will be around 8-9k +-depending upon location.

2)Inel Original 945 Motherboard- 6050
3) 2GB DDR2 Transcend Ram with three years warranty - 8100
4)nVidia 7300GT - 10,300 !!!!
5)VIP ....400 watt SMPS & Cabinet
6)Hitachi 250 GB SATA II - 4200

Do you know any other dealer where I can get at 7300GT around 4.5K ?

Thanks once again for your help buddy

Well.....actually u can get the 930 at around 8-9k at max.....

7300GT cannot be 10k.......coz 7600GT is 11K......
Actually 7300GT is under 5k on the net itself.....how can they charge 10k for the same.....how much memory did it have??
If cannot go for the 7300GT go for the 7300GS......that's under 5k...my firend recently bought 1.....
