XFX geforce6500 card 256 mb ddr2 for 4200/- is it worth it????

have intel 2.8gz(hyperthreading) processor and intel 915 gav orignal motherboard,512 m.b ram,80 gb sata segate hdd.
i want to buy a graphic card and i have been offered a XFX geforce6500 card 256 mb ddr2 for 4200/- .is it better than my onboard intel extreme graphics.is it worth it.

it is surely going to be better than intel extreme onboard that you have

but 6500 is not a common card and i don't know how it performs

I would say consider Geforce 6600/6600GT or 7300GT preferably GDDR3

6500 is of no use now......get a 6600GT or some card in the 7xxxx series.....
I think u will get a 7300GS for 4.5 K....

i don't think so unless u mean 4.5 k in some other currency that indian rupees.

Well .. a 6600 256 MB card should be available for that price .... and should be a better performer ...

you get a 7300GT(maybe non GDDR3 though) for 4.4k, I recommed a GDDR3 version.

1 of my friends bought the 7300GS under 5k......I don't exactly remember the price but it was under 5k.....

But a 6600GT should be better.....
