Re: Please Advise for Assembling New PC
for benq drive because
1. Sony DRU-810A=Benq 1640
2. Sony DRU-820A=Benq 1670
All other Previous sony dvd burners are Lite-ON OEM's.

Yeah, your configuration is pretty good. In fact perfect. Also make sure that your
motherboard supports SATA II , to make it future-proof. For cabinet , go for Zebronics.

Thanks samrulez,
I am going with Transcend & sony
But I got info. that MSI (with6150) is better than ASUS (with6150) ie. For on board graphic.
Also now, it is better to wait for 1 month, bcoz I heard that AMD drastically cutting the prise, is this correct ?
Then Instead of 3500+, I can go for Athlon X2 3800+ or 4200+.

Re: Please Advise for Assembling New PC
I would suggest that you should wait for conroe, even if it is out of your budget it sould certainly lead to price falls and you might get something better than this.
If there is an emergency kind of situation, then:
Amd 64bit 3000 Venice : Rs.4750
You can oc it much higher, maybe even faster than a 3800 or even more
Asus A8N E: around 5500+
2 X 1GB DDR 400 Transcend (UCCC(prefred) or Hynix D43 chips only): Around 4000-4500 per module, can be cheaper as well
Seagate SATA II NCQ HDD, 250-300 gb
Sasmung 798MB Plus 17": around 6-7k, I think around 7k, probably nt close to 6k
1 DVD RW and 1 Combo
around 3k and around 1.5k
actually a tad lower
local atx cabinet around rs. 1000
power safe 400-500 watts power supply depending upon graphic card
Microsoft Internet Keyboard or higher models, maybe multimedia keyboard if it is higher, Rs.400 and up
Microsoft Optical Comfort 3000 mouse , around 900 or comfort 5000
if you can extend your budget then mx 518, around 2800 from logitech, well worth the money, initially you might think that it is waste, but it is not
Graphic Card:
If you don't want to game and not graphics intensive:
Geforce 6200/6600/7300(non TC)
Very very moderate game:
7300GT GDDR3
7600GS or higher: 6.5k
I think i deserve reps for this

Re: Please Advise for Assembling New PC
Perfect config..
Go for K8NGM2-FID this This is better than ASUS A8N-VM CSM , also MSI has bundled TV-out & audio Bracket which is missing in ASUS
RAM Transcend
Sony DRU-820A
But wait for at list 1 month, As AMD is going to cut prices once Conroe is released.

Re: Please Advise for Assembling New PC
Conroe is much better than amd, forget about amd al together, if your budget is very very low and you have to take amd, still take
Asus A8N E which is a good overclocker
there is a mobo from Foxconn which costs around 2k and isn't very bad, but I would not take it if I can go for asus a8n e

I think Intel's Conroe, E6300 Core 2 Duo processor, around $183 is with in my budget, But can it will be available up to 15th of next month, with good mobo. Bcoz I can’t wait more than a month for my new PC.......
In case it is not available, I think it is better to go for Athlon 3800 X2 OR 4200 X2 considering AMD’s 24/7 pries.........
Also I preferred mobo with on-board graphics as I previously mention, I occasionally play games…….. so MSI K8NGM2-FID OR ASUS A8N-VM CSM --- around 5-5.5K are preferred.
Also I think WD Caviar SE16 is better than Seagate

Re: Please Advise for Assembling New PC
The cheapest conroe cpu should be around 10-12k, there isn't too much diff in intel prices abroad and here.
You may get it some time in August, probably mid-late August.
Don't get onboard video, any mobo with onboard video is usually a lower performer, no overclocks and may loose out on stability(not sure) and such thing, it in one word will be a low end piece of crap. Rather get a mobo with a cheap external graphic card.
The min price for conroe cpu + mobo will be around 14-15k total.
E6300 in games will probably be on power with X2 4400-4800 class
