CD Writer Error ?

Whenever I insert any Blanck CD into my Optical Drive and double click on the CD drive It gives Drive X: is inaccessible even if the blanck cd in present there.

But I have seen in my friend's house it opens and displays nothing as it is blanck.

Is there any settings to be done?Please help.

are u sure u r inserting it into a drive that can write disks not just read them.

Yeah I am pretty sure about that.I had checked it with my CD Writer as well as DVD Writer.

Anyway what brand DVD Writer you are using & how old is it?

I am using Sony DVD-RW and Asus CD-RW.Sony DVD RW is 2 months old and ASUS RW is 2 years old.I don't think there is any problem with these Drives becoz I can Write as well as read CDs from both these.I think there is any problems with settings(might be).

Right click on the writer drive in my computer -> properties -> Recording -> check enable recording on this drive.
