Which of these mobo combinations are good?

Both are good but the Asus is slightly better and also about a 1000 bucks cheaper which makes it a better buy.

MSI boards are slightly better in terms of performence.See the A list of digit.
But they are a bit costlier too.

The overall performance of the MSI board is good but in the graphics section the Asus board beats the MSI as it has Gforce 6 class graphics subsystem which is Gforce 6150 chipset and its cheaper too than the MSI board.
Hence its a good choice to go for the Asus board.

The 3000+ with the ASUS mobo would be better....If u use ur pc for extensive applications or u overclock then u should have 2 X 512 MB 400 MhZ..in dual channel..
