Speaker Mic conflict?

hi,
I have 2.8Ghz , 512 MB ram , Intel 915GAV , LG CD Writer , 80GB HD , Win XP SP2 , every patch applied.


Recentl i got my windows reinstalled , It is a dual boot Win 2000 serv. and Win XP ,


Problem::-- Whenever i try to use any software or messenger using Mic , it shows up a blue screen , Givin error



IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

and then all that k if this problem persists then contac blah blah .


Please let me know how to cure this prob.

when i had that problem, it turned out that my ram was corrupted. i replaced the ram and everything worked fine. so do check ur pc by removing the ram that u have and placing another one
