Question tv tuner problem

I've recently bought a tech-com internal tv tuner card.I've given the sound output of tv card thru my sound card.
My problem is when I am recording any tv show then I am not getting sound recorded. I am using intervideo WinDvr for watching TV . I tried different versions also but problem is same.
Can anyone help me out inthe case.
