UPS Suggestions needed

pals...

i ned 2 buy a good ups,,, which doesnt cost much, and is good in backup

longer time backup, value nominal, and 1 req is that it should have some sort

of windows based indicator when the pc goes in backup mode,,,

wot i mean is, like in apc brand ups, just plug in the cable and xp auto

detects teh ups,,, does any other brand supports such facility

need 2 buy it soon..

help needed.

APC is the thing for you.. Dont look anywhere else..

but apc is 2 costly compared 2 other brands,,, with same features...

so needed some reasonable thing, with specific features and decent price.

Yes, APC is little costly but I wouldn't suggest u to go for cheaper one. I was using a 650VA Elent which blasted like a bomb. I found my 15" monitor, 845MoBo the victim of Elent malfunction. UPS was in warranty so replaced in one MONTH but Monitor & MoBo has gone forever.

Till then I am using a APC and its a damn good

APC is the best
unmatched service backup!!!!!!
you could get an apc ups of 650va for Rs2600-Rs3000
12-18 min backup for p4 system

APC 650 VA can run two PCs simultaneously and have 4 power outlets.
Out of which one outlet is not backed up by battery. So you can also run cooler in summers on APC UPS. APC 650VA comes with 3 yrs warranty (2 yrs on battery). And have connectivity with PC through Data cable (USB port) so it automatically shutdowns the pc when back up is low. Nice naa. Its a robust peice. I have one.

And what to say about the service, well I got it replaced three times because of my mistake in the power supply (short-circuit).APC people replaced it three times without any objection.
