Kolkata guys help...need a tv tuner

I urgently need a tv tuner ... Pinnacle is my choice

What I need to know is whether the MEDIA CENTER series is better than the PCTV series and what are the respective costs (approx.)

Also suggest me a shop in Kolkata (preferably Chandni Chowk) from where I can buy this card

Can anyone using these cards provide me with the following info?
1> whether the card has the time shift/scheduling features ?
2> whether it is an external one (usb 2) ?
3> any FM radio options ?
4> what is the bundled software ? how's the remote ?

Like I said earlier,I need this fast...so please help me decide

if i remember kolkata correctly, go to Computer Exchange on camac street - park street crossing and ask for pinnacle

My sugesstion would be go for pctv plus from saboo computers
it has fm
internal
the card has the time shift/scheduling features
and great remote
one more thing the time shift is computer dependent and not card
u need lot of hdd space for time shift and good processing speed

I visited chandni last Saturday ... everytime i go there I feel like cursing myself ... very few ppl over there have the necessary knowledge of hardware ... I was astonished to see one guy giving all sorts of false info to a customer willing to buy a gfx card he didn't know the diff between 7300 and 6800

another point is that the shops keep only the products that are common ... ask them anything else and they give you a strange look ... and the big names charge more ... I found a small shop offering Pinnacle 100e external tv tuner for Rs. 4400 . However it did not accept credit card and I didn't have that much cash on me , so I had to take it from Saboo for Rs. 4590

Anyway, the tuner has been working fine till now...reception is good ...
I'll record a few shows and let u guys know

Royal.did u get the OPTION of another pinnacle card.....i.e PINNACLE 110i....was that available too.......??????

I think.....100e(EXTERNAL) & 110i(INTERNAL)r the same thing!

sorry to dissapoint you ... no I DID NOT find 110i anywhere

I think if I really asked for it the shopkeepers would have thought I have gone mad
seriously...most people over there do not deserve to be working in a hardware shop

Coming back to the topic, I think 100e and 110i are very similar ... though 100e does not have FM radio options ...
BTW, the words "High-quality video capture" was present in 100e page but not in 110i one. I wonder why ?
