Hard disk drive problem........

I got one spare hard disk , when i trie to connect it... it got detected in bios as well as plug & play of windows xp. but no drive is showingin my computer ....what do you think the problem is??

maybe u had installed linux sometime, its filesystem is ext3 which is not supported by windows.. therefore the drive will not show..

also, if your drive is new then u should format it first then only it will show up..
