yellow lines on my toshiba 17'' tft

hey everybody,

I own a toshiba satellite p35series laptop with the following config,
P4 3.2GHz HT processor, 1 gb ram, 17"widescreen, 80 gb hd, ati radeon 128 mb integrated graphics ........the problem is that i have two yellow vertical lines running across the tft on the right side......is there any way to repair it....the toshiba service guys told me i gota change the dispaly which is a costly affair....so i thought of sharing the issue wid u guys for ur valuable suggessions!!!

If the lines appear while running windows only, then its driver problem!
But if the lines r always there while booting, etc. then its time to replace it...

replace??? well ok..........i hope some other altenatives exist..........hoping against hope is it???
