Future proof mobo..

hi,
I wanted to know which motherboard will be the best to buy now and will be futureproof( i mean long lasting.. at least five yrs). My dealer is saying it'll cost me around 10k (to buy processor+mobo D101) with exchange of my old mobo and processor ( intel 845GVSR and Pentium 2.4 GHz).
I need your help... My requirements are : workin on languages like C++, and gamin.. please help:

He is cheating u? Do u realy mean that he will take ur current mobo and proccesor and 10K for the new mobo and processor

Cost of D101 is aorund 3.6k , which processor is he selling you. Even if its a P4 3.0 HT it would cost 8k . So is he buying your old mobo and procy for 1.6k .....??

are you sure?? he told me intel mobos come for 4.5K onwards...
