evga 6800gs....monitor flickers while playing fear

i bought an evga 6800gs........

my system configuration is :

amd 64bit 2800+
512mb ram
asus k8n mobo

the problem is that my monitor flickers while playing games........
help plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.......

may be some speaker or ups are near ur monitor plz remove it and if still problem presist check for monitor refresh rate and do it to 85 mhz if u r using samsung or lg.

Also upgrade the drivers (if you haven`t done that )

Ur using a LCD ??? A friend of mine faces strange flickering while playing Condemned on his lcd and a 6800GT ... and since those two engines are the same ..

Well .. what i would say is that u should turn of vsync both from ingame and from the nvidia control panel .. and check ..

And if ur using an LCD ... i know the exact solution ..

i am using an lcd monitor......samsung syncmaster510n (15 in)

windows help suggested to upgrade ma bios.....and i did it........ther is no more flickering.......but still i think that ma 6800gs is not performing upto the mark......

so wat r ur suggestions ?????

Why so ???

Actually running games lower than the native lcd res. can result in such problems ... for example .. a lcd having native res. of 1280*1024 should be used to run games at atleast 1280*1024 or u might face such problem ....

Also .. why do u think ur 6800GS is under performing ??? Run some benchmarks and posts the scores. ..
