Default Re: Altec Lansing Vs3151r help

well first of all try to get latest audio drivers from the manufacturer's website

now regarding ur first picture....
i agree u've 5.1 speakers but in total you have 6 separate channels(2 fronts, 2 rears, center and subwoofer) and thats the reason you have a 6 channel option here instead of 5.1 so when u select the 6 channel option ur actually settings the setup for 5.1 mode

regarding your second picture...
after u've turned on the 6 channel mode from the setup, make sure that u've turned on the 5.1 mode from ur speakers contol pod also, now i'm not sure how u do that on ur speakers but if in case there's any option make sure that the 5.1 mode is on
the second thing you can try is to check whether you have plugged in the speaker cables in its respectiove jack or not specially your rear speaker cable

regarding your third picture...
what happens when you click on the start button to start the connector sensing, does it gives u any connection error after completing the test, check the same thing for your bracket also by first clicking on the bracket button and then click start button...
if in case you get any error than click on the "unknown" button below front speaker connector and u'll get a new window with several options, from there click on the "power speaker" option...repeat the same for rear speakers connector and center/sub connector and after that run the tests again...

once u've done all these steps try to run a dvd in 5.1 mode and see if you get sounds from all the channels or not, try running a game also in 5.1 mode(i wud recommend doom3 to check the speakers)...

try all these steps and let us know...

ENjoy...
