Motorola L6 sync trouble!

Hi, I got recently a Motorola L6. I am happy with it and all BUT I am unable to transfer data from or to the comp, despite having bought the Motorola CD Rom "Mobile Phone Tools".
Please help!
I am not an expert, either of comps or of mobiles...

u need connectivity between u'r PC and the phone,either u use a bluetooth dongle(costs anywhere between 350 to 1000 bucks)or get a data cable to transfer data.Even i have a moto L6,am using bluetooth dongle,am able to transfer viedos,songs(mp3 and mid)and pics.

BUT: I DO HAVE a connectivity cable (USB), which came with the CD.
Still, in the CD there is no mention whatsoever of Motorola models (L6, L7, etc.). I don't have bluetooth in the comp (and I am not intending to have, at least not anytime soon).

transfer rate is pretty slow,averages between 2-6KBps.Be it any type of data.
@fjf1969,i don't have any data cable and cd,so don't have much idea about that.U can try the 'SYNC' at Menu>settings>connecvity here u have two option one being bluetooth and other named SYNC.

Oh,i forgot to add,there is a java app loader in menu>settings>javasettings (last option)when accesed it asks to insert datacable.I don't know much about it since i don't have any datacable.

Bout the sync thingy??am lil confused what to fill in those fields.
