Altec Lans 251 or Creative Inspire 5.1

well Altec Lansing ATP3 is a 2.1 speaker for Rs 3k and Altec Lansing 251 is a 5.1 speaker for Rs 4k so i think the later is a better buy isnt it ??

Yaa Altec Lans 251 is a better option as its a 5.1 channel with 90w rms..where as ATP3 is 2.1 with 60w RMS if i m not wrong.AL 251 is de best option wen compared to Creative ins 5.1 & ATP3.

ya u r right about RMS ...I saw the same in techtree ....but fact is that I have MSI-RS482iLD ( 8channel ) motherboard .but not no dedicated sound card . So ... is it true that if I buy a 5.1 then I need a separate sound card?

no it is not necessary to hav a seperate card..it will work fine wid that onboard sound.but if u put a seperate card then i guess it is gonna work betta.
