My New Rig:Help REQ Urgently!!!!!!!!!

Hi,

Am buying a new pc(CPU Only).But am facing some problems as many components are not available here in Chandigarh.

Processor:
Am not getting AMD X2 3800+ anywhere here.The RAshi people have only 4200+ in Stock so i will have to go with that.Am getting a price of 20k

Motherboard:
Am getting a BFG 7900GT from Abraod which will take a month atleast.So i thought of using my older 5700 AGP card for time being.But am being told its not possible to run a AGP card on ASUS A8N-E.Is there any way to run an AGP 5700 card On A8N-E
Otherwise i'll have to buy an ASUS A8N-VM with 6100 onboard.

How much is the performance difference b/w A8N-E and A8N-VM
Please Advice ,Am totally confused.

Cabinet & PSU:
Theres no Zebronics in here,no VIP,no Powersafe,no Vantec.
My options are local brands,Antec,Coolermaster.

I dont want to go for Antec,as my budget is overshooting already coz of 4200+ and i dunno anything about Coolermaster.

Suggest the cabinet and powersupply,the cheapest one that will not bottleneck my system.Keep in mind theAMD 4200+ and the 7900GT card.

Hard Disk:
Tell me the exact model no of the Hd i should buy.200 GB min.And should i go for Sata II or just Sata.

DVD Writer:
No Lite-on Dealer aswell.Should i go for LG or Sony.

RAM:
They are saying that a lot fake kingston modules r in circle.So shud i go for corsair or Transcend.I need 1GB X 2 Modules

And If anyone has Chandigarh Specific Info,regarding dealers and stuff am not getting please provide that also.I'll buying in a day or two so reply at the earliest.

Thats true.The A8N-E is a PCI-E only board and has no AGP slot and hence you cant insert and AGP card on that board.Get the ASUS A8N-VM,its a fine choice.

Now that wipes out the entire range of best choices mate.Considering your Card and Processor you'll definetly need an Antec or a VIP cabinet with atleast 500Watts PSU.I'll leave it to rest of the members to pop their options out as I cant seem to think of much of the other cabinet,expect for those cheap I-Ball ones.Though they might just have a few higher models as well but not so sure on that.

SATA II has extreme transfer speeds so it would be the best choice.Speaking of which I think you should opt for a Hitachi Deskstar 250GB SATA II HDD which must be around Rs.5200.

Corsair are easily better over Transcend counter parts and have copper heatsinks in their high end modules.Plus they are excellent overclockers.

Where in the hell did the guy mention about buying a motherboard from abroad? AFAIK He is just purachsing the 7900GT Graphic card from abroad which IMO is a great idea as it will cut down on the price which would be a rather though choice to make out here.Think before you type.

Is A8N-VM better than A8N-E.

^My Bad dude.Peformance wise both are virtually same albeit there are a few feature enchancements in A8N-E over A8N-VM.Where A8N-VM and CSM implements Onboard 6 series onboard Video the A8N-E ditches the onboard cliche.A8N-E has a Gigabit ethernet support which is lacking in A8N VM.Apart from that there aint much big difference.

mann what is u r budget a lakh or sumthing plus. atleast every system buyer at least quotes the price he wishes to buy the complete set for. as for u saying that u r putting in a gud amount i guess so. then why dont u try some online sloutions from www.ebay.in, www.bestbuy.com, www.tigerdirect.com

No am buying just the cpu.My budget for the system was 40k(without the 7900GT).But its now being stretched to 45k or even 47-48k if i have to buy An Antec cabinet.And I need the system up and running within a max one week.So online sites r a big no no.
By the way what should I buy between A coolermaster and an Antec.The most cheaper.The cases are as follows:

Whats the difference between the Antec True Control and True Power PSUs

Sigh!! Atlast got the missing components.Finally found one person dealing with Zebronics products.Though not available immidiately,an order has been placed and will come within 4-5 days. So heres the final config.

AMD X2 4200+ 18500
Asus A8NE 6000

I think the rates are fair keeping in mind the availability in north india.If A8NE is a bit higher am getting a good price for the 4200+.The RAMs bit expensive but I was not getting any branded Ram here.This is GEnuine Transcend Ram with 3yr warranty.Am specially happy for the Zebronics Antibiotic otherwise i wud had to buy Antec and that wud have made my budget skyrocket.But theres one thing i need to clarify,the guy says it has 450W PSU but the site doesnt say anything about it.Can someone confirm??

Am Happy really happy.But wud have to wait for week max.

No way man.The default PSU of the Antibiotic case is supposed to be 400Watts.I have read that it has less rail amps which isnt sufficient for High end and Medium end Graphic cards.So better dump the built in PSU and go in for a separate Powersafe PSU.
