Smile Auto shut down


Hi,
I have a hcl beanstalk pc 2.8, with sukam power supply. the main problem is after 2-3 hours my comp. automatically shuts down. i checked the power option but every thing was normal. How can i get out of this?
Thanks for all of your suggestion now i have no problem.

do you get an error message? or does it just shut down without any warning?

does it shut doen or does it restart.....

and does it shut down when the case is open too..
open the case and keep a table fan if u have, in front of it....

when it turns off next time... remove the power and touch the heat sink and see....
how hot is it???

Check the cpu temperature in bios after auto shutdown
I have seen a option in a bios to shutdown pc when cpu temp. is high

if it shuts down without warning it could be due to overheating. clean the cabinate to facilitate cooling.
@kniwor: i dont think touching a 40-60c heatsink is a good idea.

use thermal paste on ur proccesor if prob is due 2 overheating to avoid access heating of CPU keep ur cabinet in place where it cud get adequate air supply and remove from cabinet by blower if there is dust accumulated in motherboard & other periferals
