suggestions :help to upgrade my pc!!!

hi all u tech folks!!
my current system config. is as follows:
P4 2.4 ghz 1MB L2 cache 533 mhz bus
HIS motherboard 845 GVM-L
256 MB OF DDR RAM
80 gb seagate HDD
LG CD WRITER AND A CD-ROM
GE-FORCE MX4000 128 MB AGP CARD
2.1 INTEX SPEAKERS
...............

i want to upgrade my PC as follows- (IF POSSIBLE BELOW 22K)

1GB OF DDR RAM
A BETTER AGP CARD OF 256 MB ON WHICH I CAN PLZY ALMOST ALL GAMES (between 5K-8K)
SECONDRY HDD (40 GB or 80 GB)
4.1 OR 5.1 SPEAKERS (4K-5K)
A DUAL LAYER DVD WRITER
ALL THE HARDWARE SHOULD OF A GOOD BRAND(NOT VERY HI-END) AND NOT BURN A HOLE IN MY POCKET!!!
PLZZ SUGGEST ME THE MODELS WHICH I SHOULD BUY AND WHAT WILL BE THE APPROX. PRICES!!!!

RAM 1GB DDR ram - that is ur choice ...keep it as last option depending on how much money u have left aftre getting remaining stuff (aprox 4K) i may be wrong check out...

Y ur going for 256 mb card , wasting the extra 1.5 to 2K, instead for 126MB 6600GT, u can play all latest games, agp is arnd 8k to 8.5K,......

go for 80Gb hdd if ur mobo supports 160 GB hdd else stay with 40GB.....company ur choice

5.1 speaker - can go for creative......does ur mobo has 5.1 suppport else u haev to buy sound card

dunno much abt DUAL LAYER DVD writer .... but benq writer r good then liteon then sony....i bought benq DW1650 for 2.7K

I think ur mobo is too old n will be outdated.. soon
think of getting mobo with pci express slot....
