upgrading SD ram

hi friends, i am using my 1.7 ghz P4 machine with only "128 mb 133Mhz SD ram", it is too slow & i want to upgrade my ram upto 512 mb. I have 845G motherboard with 2 sd ram slots. I have gone to buy ram module of 512mb, but they said its not even manufactured yet, then i decided to buy 2 256mb ram modules, they said single 256mb module is come for Rs.1630.

PLease guide me in this, is there 512mb module available in market & if yes what is the prize of this & what is the prize of 256mb module?

the price of sdram depends on the company and frequency. but 256 mb ram cost is somewhere around Rs. 1600. 128 mb costs Rs. 1500.

BTW, che k out the total capacity of RAM which ur motherboards supports before buyin ne thing...if it supports only 512 MB max. the u'll have to bu2x256 MB RAM modules, each costing arnd Rs. 1500

Is quite cheap there, specially the 512 mb version. Here, i'll get 512 MB SDRAM for approx 3k.
