Default bail out this newbie!!!

i have a AMD athlon 3500+, MSI K8N Diamond motherboard, Winfast 6600 GT 128 MB Extreme graphics card, 512 MB Kingston Value RAM, two Seagate 80 GB hard disk, powersafe 450 watts SMPS, altec lansing 5051R speakers and samsung 713n LCD monitor. I had assembled my computer in september.

1) My problem is that since about two months ago, i have having been start up problems. the computer powers up automatically just by switching on the UPS, but the monitor does not show anthing(its green LED is blinking). i have to open the cabinet and push the RAM in harder(or reseed it sometimes) to start it.

2)Also there is a blush (like a faded patch in concentric circles) on the
upper left hand side corner of my LCD screen. What is it ?

for 1st problem ...
as far i know computer only starts automatically if it was no restarted properly....
it depends on ur ATX power box...
and
if ur monitor is just blinking then ur graphic card is not working...
just see tht if it is properly inserted in the VGA port of graphic card properly
even if when ur graphic card is working proper ly...
and u have coonected it to ur on board VGa then too it starts blinking
