Default Lan card or Gigabit ethernet

I am getting a dataone broadband connection.
I do not have a lan card.
Do I go for Lan card or Gigabit ethernet card?
Also which type of modem do go for. There are four types available.
Check this link http://www.bsnl.co.in/service/dataon...ht%20purchase:

Well a normal 100MBps LAN card is more than sufficient ,no need to giga LAN card.

Ethernet based Modem would be a better idea i guess.
