How to connect SATA HDD to a mobo w/o SATA port

I have following config

AMD AThlon XP 1800+
MSI KT4 mobo, w/o SATA ports
512 MB ram
Sony DVD rom and Sony CD RW
Sony FDD

a spare Samsung 40 GB IDE HDD in an USB case.

Now my DAD accidently purchased a Seagate 160 GB SATA HDD and the dealer is not taking it back. Now plz help me to connect it to my mobo internally i.e. not via USB port.

If possible I would like to boot from it i.e. win XP on it and use my 40 GB HDD in its USB case which i bought 6 months ago.

Just use a SATA PIC card . It might be available in the market. or use a SATA it PATA convertor . thats the best you can do if you want to connect it internally.

Check out the price from ur computer dealer... As prices are different in different cities.....

IF ur not willing to buy the card mentioned .Ask ur dealer to take that SATA disk back and buy something else from that amt u would receive from it.
Dvd writer would be a good choice or a printer

You could buy an external enclosure and use it as an external hard disk.

sorry for the delay and good news guys ! I got a PC order on WITH 120 GB SATA Hdd. but I convinced him to buy 160 GB SATA. So my worries r waved off.
