Default Firmaware Update Problem!! Please help

Hi guys,
I have a liteon DVD writer model SHOW-812s. I have updated its firmware whih i downloaded it from the lite-on site. But after the update, my drive doesnt recognise or reads any DVD not even the digit dvd's. It is able to read only cd-s.

Please tell me wat i need to do to get my dvd writer to work normally.

thanking you

probably, Uve used a wrong version of the update/updater or the update is done improperly. Another proper firmware flashing will solve ur problem, first check the PROPER VERSION NUMBER AND VERSION DATE of the firmware update and then use the manufacturer's PROPER SOFTWARE UPDATER and see if those are meant for YOUR DRIVER MODEL only or not.. then READ THE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY AND UPDATE !!!

Download the latest firmware for YOUR model and flash it again. If it doesn't helps visit service center
