Default Upgrade trouble

i have an Intel P4 1.6 ghz pc with 640 mb ram.

I would like to upgrade my pc to an AMD Anthlon64 3000+ and would be using a new motherboard ofcourse from ASUS
http://in.asus.com/products4.aspx?l1...43&modelmenu=1

However i was wondering, whether mine existing RAM would work on this motherboard or not???

Thanks for reading.

@Nitin
ya your existing RAM will run perfectly on this Mobo since it accepts DDR RAM .. I am assuming you are using DDR RAM currently. But keep in mind there is no onboard VGA on this board and you will need to buy a separate Video Card (AGP 8X) for it. I dont suggest going for this board anyday .. Instead you can go for the ASUS A8N-E or A8N-VM.

^^^
ASUS a8ne doesnt have onboard gfx either
so the best option is to go for ASUS a8n-vm
it also comes with a PCIE expansion slot
but all this will work only if ur existin RAM is DDR
first make sure abt this
