Default My combo gone for six!!!!!!!!!!

As it is mentioned in Digit several times to upgrade the firmware, I have downloaded updated version of firmware for my combo LG 4521B. After installing the firmware my PC required reboot. But after reboot, the PC fails to start. Combo is not identified on POST and the PC hangs on Intel Pentium Logo. It does not enter in XP. But as I disconnect the combo, XP starts normally. How I can roll back to my old firmware version? Do I need to change my combo PCB?

You need to change the PCB or may be the firmware chip. Try going into safemode and then reflash the firmware.

bro, read the post,he said firmware update not driver update, infact how u can boot the pc and roll back to older state.very few combos have rollback firmware best way is to change the firmware chip only.

@saiaspire,the pc will just fail to boot it will jsut stop at the post screen so no question of reflashing since its a DEAD combo. if u try to run the firm exe file it will not detect the combo

@readermaniax,a firmware is a chip or EEPROM(electronically erasable programmable read only memory)which stores the info of the combo,we have firmware on motherboard(BOIS)made by AWARD,AMI or Pheonix, updating a firmware is called flashing which is a risky job.
