Default Computer Turned off & not Starts

One of my friend has a serious problem occured in his pc. Last night he start his computer, enter password of windows logon and after some second it turned off(not sutted down) automatically , but the power LED of the pc was glowing. When he press the power button the LED turned off. Now he unable to start his pc. His Configuration is
Intel P4 2.8GHz HT
Intel 915 MB
128 DDR Ram

SMPS might have been doomed due to hi-voltage.Get the SMPS checked.Also,if he has an UPS then get it checked too.Pity to see that u'r buddy has a massive 2.8ghz with jus 128MB ramupgrade to atleast 256+MB.

ram is the reason or smps try a friends smps and ram
