Default computer is taking restart


I AM USING P4, RAM CAPACITY 256, OS WINDOWS XP, WHEN I START COMPUTER IT TAKES REBOOT AFTER SOME TIME AND THEN NO DISPLAY COMES ON SCREEN. PLEASE HELP..............

it could be anything ...

Loose electrical contacts
Loose RAM modules

Also try this ..
Go to .. My Comuter(right click) -> Properties -> 'Advanced' tab
Under 'Startup and Recovery' click on 'Settings'
Under 'Sytem Failure', uncheck 'Automatically Restart'

This will prevent computer from restarting under the condition of a BSOD (Blue Screen) ... it will stay at the blue screen and you can note down the details about the error before restarting.

Note it down and post here.
