Mobo with o/b GFX and SLi are rare. Frankly I havent heard of a board which offers both these features. So I propose a solution which has o/b GFX and PCI-E - in case you want to fit in a higher end GFX at a later stage. I have not included a GFX in the configuration since you'll have to go for a PCI-E GFX and depending on your requirements you can get one. Alternately you can just do with o/b GFX, save some money and go for a really good GFX solution after some time.

CPU:: AMD Athlon 3200+ - 7800
Mobo:: MSI RS-482 - 4800
RAM:: 512MB DDR 400 - 2400
HDD:: Seagate Barracuda 200GB - 4600
Cabinet:: Box + 400W PSU - 2000
CRT:: LG 17" flat - 6700
Optical drive:: SONY DVDRW - 2800
FDD:: Sony FDD - 280

Total comes to 31,380/- (+ 4% VAT).

Since MSI has on-board grafix, the video memory is shared from the main memory. (RAM) And, since u have a budget upto 40K, u can as well add another 512 MB of RAM...1 GB of RAM can make a world of difference to the systems of performance...Make sure that u go in for 2*512 MB RAM sticks rather than a single gig of RAM.

Else the config suggested by zombie is good enough for gaming...

This is a good configuration Mohit. Biswa, try and go for 1GB of RAM. Even I would prefer A8N-E any day, but our friend wants an o/b GFX so I went for ATi chipset. nForce has been my favorite chipset since the first one was launched.

Default Thanks

Thanks to everyone. I was confused about the mobo choice and whether I should go for flat or normal CRT. I've heard rumors that flat CRTs have problems.
Have u used the mobo Winfast-NF4K8MC ?
Thanks to zombie, mohit and others a lot...

I am using a flat CRT since ages now .. i have used flat crt's of various brands like Lg , Samsung and Philips but never faced a single problem.. its just a rumour that flat crt's have problems.
