Default plz suggest intel mobo for cad/cam

My friend needs an Intel sys for cad/cam. He is doing 3 rd year
Automobile Engg

HE IS AN INTEL FAN. SO DO NOT SUGGEST ANY AMD SYS

I did that once and in few seconds i was clear that he won't buy AMD.

sys will hv
2.66 Ghz HT, 160 GB samsung, 1 GB Transcend ram, Sony DVD writer(DRU 810),
793s CRT monitor, logitech k/b+mouse, i-ball 400 w speakers, Sony FDD,
VIP 350W PSU, cabinet will be decided on the spot .

Is it necessary to have a graphics card for CAD/CAM ?

Plz also tell the price in Mumbai.

Thanks

Intel 865GBF is a good choice, I had that mobo in my old comp and its really good performer, besides it has onboard graphics with 96MB shared memory so it should be sufficient if yur friend is using Autocad, pro-e or inventor however I would recommend him to get an agp graphics card if hes going to run intense analysis softwares and stuff.

It would also be better to get a good brand 450W or better PSU and go for 17" Acer or Viewsonic pureflat monitor like E70f series.
