cmos error

i have a via board with sony cmos battery.my computer is about 3 yrs old.recently i am getting
floppy disk(s) fail (40)
CMOS checksum error-defaults loaded
warning ! CPU or CPU ratio has been changed
please re-enter CPU setting in the setup


sometimes my system doesn't start,no beep,no POST and sometimes it shows POST.
i searched the forum and on internet i get that my cmos battery has passed away.is it correct?

Try changing ur battery,it will just cost u Rs.15-20. and post ur result here.
