Default virtual memory 2 low


my pc is p4,2.8ghz,80 gb hdd,256 ddr ram,845 onboard graphic card
no extra graphic card installed.but when i was playing nfs mw its shows
virtual memory too low.i had covered 3 to 4 stage and afterwards it
minimizes to destop after a splash screen.even the graphic where ok.
can anyone suggest me some method to solve this problem.as pc is of 80 gb
i have partioned my hdd to four drvies and have allocated 950 mb inital size in virtyal memory and maximum size 1500 mb.but it doesnt help.even i
changed video configuration to 128 mb which was 64 mb.can increasing
upto 256mb can harm my computer.can increasing frame buffer size help?

well when u increase the graphics mem from 64 to 128 MB it reduces system RAM, thereby more and more operations and processes are forced to virtual memory, and when the application finds the lack of memory the performance is degraded

U can solve this ny going for a decent AGP graphics card

and if u do wnat to keep onboard graphics as 128MB upgrade mem to 512MB

its a case of insuffiecient RAM

for NFS:MW 512mb is a must for smooth play

try gettin rid of all runnin applications and maybe a few unnessary services also

my computer->properties->advanced->performance->Advanced->VIrutal Memory -> Change
Select teh drive and increase the maxiumum size of the pagefile
