Default LAN using USB ??


Can 2 computers be connected using a USB cable ??

Yes.. U can .. there is a cable which does this job.. its called as "USB DirectLink Cable"...

I have bought a USB cable..
I have inserted the ends in USB ports of each computer but nothing is auto-detected
Help

have u bought "USB DirectLink Cable" or something else.. i searched on google for this.. and site which sells/make them.. they claim "Its will be auto detected" but there is also a software which comes.. by which u can transfer the data

just to make sure that u have USB Direct link cable only ... this cable is having USB port at both end and in the middle there is some IC... for us it will be a notch sort of thing... u can have a look at

dude. that cable just allows data transfer.. and not the work of a LAN cable.. u need the software to be installed on both the PC and running which allows data sharing...

i have that cable.. its a waste.. buy a LAN card for 250 bucks and get a crossover CAT 5 LAN cable and u get direct link..
