which os are u using ?
cuz if ur using a server os like win2003 then u need to increase hardware acceleration to full
if ur using something like winxp then it could be somethign as simple as low resource system
implying less memory for smooth playback or high cpu utilisation by other programs

try shutton unnecessary programs that hog resources and then try

S3 integrated graphics(32MB)
Windows XP.

i guess that would help
first shiut all applicatiosn and see if the dvd works any better
cuz 128mb on xp os overkill
so im sure its just that ur runnin out of resources

in either case id recommend and upgrade to 512mb ram

also wat u can try
is to not watch the movie in full screen
remove the default xp theme
kill all antivirus and other programs
remove the wallpaper

all this will free up some resources
if not then install a older OS like ME or Win2k pro.

if all else fails buy some ram, even 256 should enough. ram prices r very low now.
