Default Whenever i turn my UPS on, the whole computer turns on


Hi

This is really funny...

Whenever i turn my UPS on,(APC...) the whole computer turns on and off immediately...

I tried changing BIOS setting now.
Whenever i turn my UPS on,(APC...) the whole computer turns on immediately without pressing power switch.

This i never seen before..

Can anyone help me...

i think this can be setteled with a bios tweak
select the stay off option
in the power settings

solved !!!

Default Bios settings change to Stay Off

Hi,

I have tried changing the bios setting to STAY OFF in ACPI power section.
now i see another strange thing happen.

Now whenever i turn on UPS, my computer immediately gets on(keyborad,cpu,mb for few secords) and off.

My computer going crazy...

well wats crazy abt tht

its quite normal

power is sent to the bios then it detects the settings and shuts it off, simple !!

Default It is not normal...

I mean ...

When i switch on UPS..

few seconds my CPU working
And all other parts getting powered up...
(KB,Mouse,HDD)

I ever seen this behaviour in other computers..

Did you....???

the are powered up and then they r off in a moment naaa

Yeah
That happens with most newer motherboards.
In fact if u open the cabinet u ll see the LED on
the motherboard is always on.
Nothing wrong with that but still it sure is very annoying

depends on ur cabinet also
if u have a push to on power switch or a push to on - off switch
also depends if ur PSU has an on switch
see if these are in off position first

i have expirienced same problem with my friend's PC. The assembler changed his psu to different brand and it worked.
Even i want to know how did that happened.

Default I had recently changed my PSU even same situation..

I had recently switched to new true 300W power supply. with my
Intel 865GBF MB.

Config
865 GBF. 1GB RAM. 3 GHZ Prescott.

I had even changed RAM,Processor and PSU except this poor intel MB.

This stupid intel MB making me irritating all the time..


Can anyone find a better solution to this problem...

I too hv this problem.. so i hv a ON OFF Switch in my SMPS.. and so whenevr i switch of my PC or Hibernate it i switch off my SMPS so totally my PC is shutdown..

Simple ahh..
