brightness and contrast of monitor

i need help to change the brightness and contrast settings of my monitor to get a display that is most soothing to the eyes.
what shud ideally be the values of brightness and contrast to get such a display?
and wat shud be the color temperature?

The values differ from monitor to monitor!

In my Samsung SyncMaster 510N, i set both Brightness & contrast to 25

there is option called video level on my lg monitor

there are options .7v & and 1v

setting it to 1v is really soothing the eye !!!!

ie 10000k

i dont think u need someone else help on this

just tweak it urself & settle with the stuff u r most comfortable with !!!
