Default intel 845G+160gb hdd

my pc is from compaq ,whose mobo is intel 845G and had a 40 gb hdd from maxtor.I plan to buy a samsung 160 gb PATA hdd.
Will it work with intel 845g chipset?

no probz!,ur board supports 160 GB (and bigger) disks.

What Operating System do you have rk ?

If it's WinXP .. then it better be WinXP+SP2 ..
Native WinXP has issues with harddisks more than 120GB
